Onboarding

What your first session actually looks like

Setup is four things: create the account, add your offer, guess your own numbers, and log your last ten deals. About twenty minutes end to end. There is no data import, no CRM to connect and no onboarding call.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Create your account

    2 minutes

Email and password, or Google or Apple. Choose Solo or Team, monthly or annual, and pay through Stripe. You land in the app straight away.

  2. 2

    Add your offer and products

    3 to 5 minutes

Name what you sell and what it costs, set how your commission works, and set your monthly commission goal. If you work with setters, lead sources or campaigns, you can list them here so your breakdowns have real names in them later. On a team plan the manager owns the product list and reps only log their own work.

  3. 3

    Take the readiness test

    1 minute

Before you log anything, you write down what you think your close rate, show rate and average deal value are. This happens first on purpose. Once you have seen your real numbers you can no longer honestly guess.

  4. 4

    Log your last ten deals

    10 to 15 minutes

Customer, value, won or lost, and roughly when. It is quick repeated entry, and you can stop at any point and keep what you already entered. Won, lost and no show all count, because a dashboard built only on wins tells you nothing.

  5. 5

See your guess against the truth

    As long as you want

Your three estimates appear beside what your own records actually say. Most closers are wrong in both directions. Being wrong in your favour and being wrong against yourself are equally useful, and neither is a failure.

  6. 6

    Your dashboard now works

    Ongoing

Ten deals clears the sample size thresholds, so close rate, show rate, average deal, value per call, commission totals and goal pace all show real figures instead of empty states. From here you log as you go, a few seconds per conversation.

Have these to hand

  • What you sell and what it costs.
  • How your commission is calculated.
  • Your monthly commission goal.
  • Rough details of your last ten deals: customer, value, outcome, roughly when.

Nothing has to be perfect. Approximate dates and values are fine, and everything is editable afterwards.

Then, if you want, the assistant

CalcuCloser exposes a connector, so ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and other assistants can read your numbers and log deals, calls and conversations by talking. That is where the coaching lives: post call debriefs, a weekly review, and where you are weakest, all grounded in your own recorded words rather than generic sales advice.

It is optional and takes a couple of minutes. Instructions for every client are on the connect page.

Onboarding questions

Is CalcuCloser hard to set up?

No. Setup is four steps: create the account, add your offer and products, take the readiness test, and log your last ten deals. There is no data import, no CRM integration to configure and no admin work. Most people are finished in about twenty minutes.

How long does onboarding take?

About twenty minutes. Roughly two minutes to sign up, three to five minutes to add your offer and products, and ten to fifteen minutes to log your last ten deals in the readiness test.

What do I need before I start?

The name and price of what you sell, your commission arrangement, your monthly commission goal, and rough details of your last ten deals: customer, value, won or lost, and roughly when.

Why does CalcuCloser ask for ten deals?

Because the dashboard refuses to show a number it cannot stand behind. Close rate, show rate and average deal size are gated on sample size, so ten logged deals is roughly what it takes for the first real figures to appear instead of empty states.

Do I need to connect an AI assistant?

No. The app works on its own. Connecting ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant is optional and lets you log deals and get coached by talking instead of filling in forms. Setup instructions for every client are on the connect page.

Do I need to talk to sales?

No. Signup and onboarding are entirely self serve. There is no application process and no onboarding call.
